How do I change existing text in a PDF?
PDFs are not word-processor files, so text cannot be reflowed like in Word. The reliable way to correct a word, date, price or name is to cover it with a white-out box and type the new text on top — the result looks like the original was changed, and it prints cleanly. Match the size in the toolbar to the surrounding text for a seamless fix.
If you need to rewrite whole paragraphs, convert the file with PDF to Word, edit it in Word or Google Docs, and export it back to PDF.

No. White-out covers text visually, but the original words remain inside the PDF and can still be copied or extracted. Do not rely on it to hide sensitive information such as ID numbers or account details. To be safer, convert the edited PDF to images with PDF to JPG and back with JPG to PDF, which removes the hidden text layer.
